because sometimes words are hard to come by
when they are swallowed by the emptiness
choked by the silence of loneliness
but I still hope nonetheless

I catch myself winding myself into tight little balls of twine
distracting edges with eight acres of mindless nothing
holding on the the center while ignoring the outsides
so I only walk in the circles that please my eyes
that feed my inner child's delicate hungers
...I know I should be better and do more
so I so as much as I can do
give myself permission
to laugh
and live
NOW
